Gathering of women presidents

Five former Roswell Rotary Club presidents join Rochelle Lentschke, Ruidoso Rotary Club president, on June 20.

The women presidents are (from lower left, clockwise) Bianca Cheney, Carolyn Mitchell, Cynthia “Cindy” Torrez, Lentschke, Betty Young, and Connie Harrell-Stone.

The former presidents noticed they sat together and asked J.P. Cheney to take this photo.

Lentschke also is president of the Ruidoso Chamber of Commerce and director of the Eastern New Mexico University-Ruidoso Foundation.

She was in Roswell after Ruidoso was evacuated because of the massive forest fires in the village and on the adjacent Mescalero Apache Reservation.
