Rotary at Roswell Invaders

The annual Roswell Rotary at the Invaders baseball game drew some 25 club members on June 10.

Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts from Artesia presented the colors, Rotarians JP and Bianca Cheney’s grandson, Declan Wright, 7, threw the first pitch, and Rotarian Colt Gipson sang the national anthem.

Rotarian Ryan Vance’s son, Rylan Vance, 6, was a bat boy.

NMMI prep chief to speak

Dr. Nina Leacock, interim head of school at the New Mexico Military Institute Intermediate Preparatory Academy, will speak to the Roswell Rotary Club on June 13.

Students receive scholarships


The Roswell Rotary Club on June 6 acknowledged 16 students who received the club’s annual scholarships.

Lamb to speak at Rotary

Rick Lamb of the Boys & Girls Club of Chaves and Lincoln Counties will speak at the May 30 Roswell Rotary Club meeting.


The club serves school-age students in the two southeastern New Mexico counties.


The Roswell club is located at 201 S. Garden Ave.
