The cleanup was conducted on Oct. 12 along North U.S. 285 at Mile Marker 116.3.

Rotarian Maurice Geldert made a pitch for donations to the Roswell Rotary Club’s Wreaths Across America Project.
The project involves laying wreaths at the graves of U.S. military veterans at the Gen. Douglas L. McBride Roswell Veterans Cemetery in December.
Checks can be made to “Wreaths Across America” and brought to the Rotary Club meeting.

Highway cleanup this weekend
REMINDER: The Roswell Rotary Club has scheduled cleaning up its Rotary Mile along North U.S. 285 starting at 8 a.m. this Saturday, Oct. 12.
Club volunteers will meet just before 8 a.m. for coffee and snacks at Mile Marker 116.3, about one mile north of the overpass on U.S. 285.

Club to host district governor
The Roswell Rotary Club will host a joint reception for visiting District Gov. Yasser Murga with the Pecos Valley Rotary Club from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Pasta Cafe.
Roswell Rotary will meet at its normal time Thursday at the Country Club.
During the meeting, the district governor will speak and auction off a gift basket from another club. Additionally, Rotarian Bianca Cheney will discuss the club’s ramp-building projects. Ramp chair Steve Smith will be out of town.
Bianca has asked members to bring canned foods and toiletries to the meeting for donation to Harvest Ministries.
